<description>I was a having a heated conversation with a friend about water conservation. My point was that reducing the number of times you flush your toilet every day by only flushing when their was solid waste was met with skepticism. My friend stated that this would not make a difference globally, and that water is a regional issue. He stated that his usage of water would have no impact on the environment since water is a resource that is not scarce in the northeast.

Any info you can point me to in order to rebut his shortsighted notion? The frustrating part is that he&#039;s a scientist and is looking for data to prove that local conservation can have a positive impact globally.

Thanks,

<description>Water pressure is the major cause of leaks I have found in my over 35 yrs. in the water biz. A pressure regulator is needed at the irrigation point of connection to the water main at the water meter. I am proposing such a code to IAPMO (the code book) misting is 30% spray loss! right off the bat..
