Give meaning to your miles by running in the 6th Annual Run for World Water and help Water for People reduce water poverty in the developing countries of Africa, Asia, Central and South America.
The event includes a 5K run, 1K walk and Kid’s lollipop run. The 5k course is USATF certified and will be professionally timed by Race Timers. This is a family-friendly event with a DJ, face painting, kid’s inflatables and refreshments.

WATER FOR PEOPLE
For our basic health and well-being, we need 5-13 gallons of safe, clean water, every day. Water is essential to life! Sadly, there are 1.8 billion people around the world that do not have access to safe water and 2.4 billion who lack access to adequate sanitation.
Water For People is working to change these statistics through the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses and governments.
Water for People is not just about building wells, installing toilets, and setting up pumps, but about creating long-term, sustainable change. Communication with community members, governments, and business owners is essential to find out what they need to feel healthy, safe and empowered. The infrastructure is built from the ground up and top down, changing entire systems so the locals can be self-reliant and assured that water and sanitation services will last for generations to come.
Join the Water for People – Arizona Chapter as we work to raise funds to support Water for People’s work. All proceeds from the event are donated to Water for People to reach Everyone Forever with safe water and sanitation.
WHAT IS WATER FOR PEOPLE
Water For People (WFP) is a non-profit organization with the main mission of supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking facilities, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programs in developing countries. Currently, WFP is working in nine countries: Uganda, Rwanda, and Malawi in Africa; the state of West Bengal in India; Honduras, Guatemala, and Nicaragua in Central America; and Bolivia and Peru in South America.
