It will include an after school club incorporating environmental concepts like sustainability and water conservation.

The project will include composting, rain water harvesting and general garden skills to give children and their parents a set of life skills and knowledge for a lifetime.

Project Goals include:

  • Provide a healthy and fun after-school activity for children in a Title 1 school.
  • Increase the child and parent bond.
  • Create a hands-on learning tool for children to increase science and math education.
  • Educate the community about water conservation and sustainability.
  • Instill life-long skills of healthy nutrition, gardening and problem-solving skills.

Thanks for your help in educating children about sustainability and water conservation from a young age!
