Glendale Water Services 30th Birthday Party

December 2, 2015 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

The Glendale Water Services Department’s Water Conservation program is celebrating 30 years of working with the community to save water – a precious resource! Established in 1985, the city of Glendale Water Conservation program is celebrating 30 years of community engagement and environmental stewardship. This comprehensive program achieves water savings by raising awareness, providing incentives, and fostering community support. Far from being outdated, the City’s conservation program is more vibrant than ever.

The success of our program depends on our children, the next generation of leaders. There is no better way to celebrate our 30-year anniversary than with families at the Glendale Main Library on Wednesday, December 2 from 4-6 p.m. Please join us and bring the kids!

Coordinated by the Glendale Water Services Department – Conservation and Sustainable Living Division, the free event will include a water conservation themed magic show, and hands-on water education activities. Wayne Drop, the official mascot of the Water – Use It Wisely campaign will also be there to take “selfies” with guests!

Attendees will receive free refreshments and eco-friendly prizes, such as a high-efficiency showerhead, garden hose nozzle, four-pack of CFL’s, and programmable thermostat. Children will receive a free school supply kit that contains a pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener, and ruler. The kits and prizes will be distributed at the end of the event and will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. See event flyer for details.

This event is free, but advance registration is required by calling 623-930-3550 or emailing greenliving@glendaleaz.com. For more information, visit www.glendaleaz.com/waterconservation
