Hydrate Mesa: Hydrate Your Community with Rainwater Harvesting

August 23, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Free

Watershed Management Group’s popular Hydrate project series is coming to Mesa! Hydrate Mesa will teach you how to create a sustainable backyard oasis at your own home. The Hydrate Mesa series will be held at the Mesa Main Library on Tuesday evenings (Aug. 23 to Sept. 7) from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Join us for the first session on Aug. 23 and you’ll receive a free rain gauge so you can track the rainfall at your home. And for every session you attend, you’ll receive a raffle ticket to be entered in a drawing for more water-harvesting goodies. Attend any or all six programs.

HYDRATE YOUR COMMUNITY: The Valley gets about 8 inches of rainfall per year—and we’ll show you how to make the most of it. We’ll help you identify the best water harvesting solutions for your home, including all potential sources of greywater and free rainwater you can use in your landscape to support your trees and plants while lowering your water bills. You’ll learn how you can harvest 10,000 gallons of water or more each year and ensure a healthy and abundant future for your community.

Class project: List of water sources and annual plant water needs.

Class if FREE, but you must register.
