Garden Lecture Series for Mesa Urban Garden

Do you want pumpkins for Halloween or Thanksgiving? Enjoy fall corn on the cob? Ever heard of a Monsoon Garden? What do these have to do with sowing seed in the hottest time of the year in the desert? Planning!!

The first 20 households to attend will receive a packet of Native Seeds/SEARCH ‘Four Sisters Seeds’ that are perfect for monsoon planting. Other fun door prizes also available.

Presenter, Catherine “The Herb Lady” Crowley gardens in her “outdoor laboratories” in the east valley. She is known for her interactive teaching on growing, cooking with and using edible herbs and flowers. She is the author of Edible Landscaping in the Desert Southwest and What’s A Chill Hour? Help In Choosing Fruit Trees in The Desert Southwest. She was a featured columnist for the Tribune for over four years writing about herbs and gardening.
