Find Your Water Provider and Conservation Programs Offered

Curious about how you can do more in terms of your own at-home water conservation? Not sure where to get started or what the options or incentives are? The new Water – Use It Wisely interactive water conservation map can help.

Many public and private water companies serve customers in Arizona. The city or town you live in, might not be your water provider. When you enter your address into the search bar, you can find out who your water provider is and learn about the conservation programs they offer.

Water – Use It Wisely, Central Arizona Project, and Arizona’s Water Providers Collaborate

Created as a collaboration with Water – Use It Wisely, Central Arizona Project and Arizona’s water providers, this GIS application allows residents to input their address and find water conservation programs specific to where they live. While there, you’ll also find information regarding whether your property is part of the Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District.

The application is a direct result of a Water Conservation Stakeholder Roundtable held by CAP in 2022. Participating water providers indicated they could use assistance promoting their water conservation programs – and thus the app was born!

To use the app, visit the interactive water conservation map on the Water – Use It Wisely site. Enter your address into the search bar to find conservation information from your water provider. If you just want to explore Arizona’s water conservation landscape, click and drag on the map to find a location.

You can always find the link to the map from our Home Page menu under the heading of “Importance of Conserving Water.”

The interactive map includes a summary of water conservation programs available to you. Many water providers offer programs such as youth education and landscape workshops. They may also offer assistance with water audits or incentives for grass removals, smart irrigation controllers, high-efficiency toilets, and more.

The Central Arizona Project (CAP) delivers water to nearly 6 million people, more than 80% of the state’s population, in Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties. CAP carries water from Lake Havasu near Parker to the southern boundary of the San Xavier Indian Reservation southwest of Tucson. It is a 336-mile long system of aqueducts, tunnels, pumping plants and pipelines.
