Explore the options available to you by logging onto the Water – Use It Wisely interactive water conservation map. Created as a collaboration with Water – Use It Wisely and Central Arizona Project, this GIS application serves as your personalized water conservation guide. Just enter your address and discover:
- Your water provider
- Landscape and irrigation workshops
- Water audits and conservation tips
- Potential rebates for grass removal, smart irrigation controllers and high-efficiency toilets
- Youth education programs and community resources
- Whether your property is part of the Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District
Water – Use It Wisely, Central Arizona Project, and Arizona’s Water Providers Collaborate
The map grew out of conversations with Arizona water providers during a Water Conservation Stakeholder Roundtable hosted by Central Arizona Project. Providers shared that residents often wanted to conserve but didn’t always know where to find local programs. This tool helps bridge that gap.
To use the app, visit the interactive water conservation map on the Water – Use It Wisely site. Enter your address into the search bar to find conservation information from your water provider. If you just want to explore Arizona’s water conservation landscape, click and drag on the map to find a location.
If you come back to look at the app again, you can always find the link to the map from the Water – Use It Wisely Home Page menu. To easily access it, look under the heading of “Importance of Conserving Water.”

The Central Arizona Project (CAP) delivers water to nearly 6 million people, more than 80% of the state’s population, in Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties. CAP carries water from Lake Havasu near Parker to the southern boundary of the San Xavier Indian Reservation southwest of Tucson. It is a 336-mile long system of aqueducts, tunnels, pumping plants and pipelines. Moreover, the Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District (CAGRD) is a special function of the CAP. It helps water providers and landowners comply with Arizona’s Groundwater Management Act.
